Engineering Shop Mechanic

Job Description:

This individual will operate the Engineering shop and testing area.  He will set up and run various Engineering tests, assemble and disassemble lawnmowers as needed, monitor ongoing tests in the Lab as well as in the field.  Involves staying on top of multiple projects and keeping data logs of hours and operating conditions, and may include writing test reports.

Qualifications:

Good, hands-on mechanical skills required.  Ability to take direction from multiple Engineering staff and manage priorities to bring each task or project to completion.  Willing to take "ownership" of the Engineering shop and keep it organized, clean and ready to use.  Desirable skills include welding, cutting torch, milling machine, measuring instruments such as micrometer and caliper.
